Shiloh Bed and Breakfast Harrisonville Missouri
This was a very peaceful venture. It is absolutely beautiful as it is completely
restored.
History: Built in 1898 as a parsonage, and has undergone many changes in its 100 years
plus. A beautiful queen anne victorian that was purchased and turned in apartments
and when purchased by the current owners they turned it into the only bed and breakfast in Harrisonville,Missouri. When you check in you are immediately taken back
by its beauty and peacful setting. The Owners are people that have put their heart into
this place and it really shows.
When you get into the rooms however beautiful as they are, your fellings change from room to room.
The Biloxi Room: This room has what many people would call shadow people. Very
peaceful durring the day and can be frightening at night.
When it was an apartment a woman lived in this part of the home and became
involved with possible occult practices and she became withdrawn and felt very
alone. She acutally would see shadows on the walls that ran like water would run
down a hill. Til this day the shadow people still exist in this room.
The Charleston Room: This room has a completely different feel to it the moment you
walk through the doorway. You have a really achy and strong feeling of nausea come
over you. There is also a chair in that room that has a flower slip cover it and when
sitting in this chair the feeling of nausea becomes almost unbearable.
It is believed in this room the person either cared for a person who died of typhoid
or actually died themselves of typhoid.
The owners of the bed and breakfast treat you to a very scruptious breakfast. They
are also very open to people interested in checking it our for themselves.

Mars Hill Church and Cemetery Ottumwa Iowa
Mars Hill Church was built in 1850 and is the oldest free standing Log Church still in use today.

legend has it that a woman and child were baptized in the church, and then right after the service she brought
her child out to the bridge that leads into the church and cemetery and threw the child over the bridge into
the water below. Rumor has it that you can hear the screams of the mother and the cries of her child at the
stroke of midnight. We didn't withness that although we did experience the overwhelming sense that we were
being watched.
Some of the people that are buried there are war heros others were people that there in Ottumwa Iowa.
The pictures that you see are very clear and yet a couple are very disturbing.
News Just In- We have just found out the Mars Hill Chruch was burned down March 9th 2006. Very sad news
this was a Historic Landmark rich in history. We hope the responsible party is found and brought to justice.
we went to the Crescent Hotel and did the Ghost Hunters tour They do such a great job of explaining the history!!! Many spirits inhabit the hotel and they even have the original -autopsy table in the basement-After the tour we went back to our hotel.
Now just imagine 5 people in a suite with a king size bed and 2 rollaway beds, we were to say the least crammed in there like sardines. Due to privacy of this type of investigation we will say that the rumors are true. The person in our group says that it was a tingling sensation that starts at the neck and goes further south.
We chose to call him Michael and 1 of our group members learned a very valuable lesson, when we turned in for the night she taunted him, she was very sick and got better as we got further and further from Eureka Springs.
Also on the way back to Kansas City we went to Carthage and enjoyed a trip through the chapel. Is absolutely beautiful and a great way to reconnect with the Lord!!
